Fall's In Motion At Sharps

Where did the summer go? Fall is on our heels as we catch the last sips of summer. However, for many of us that means vacation days are gone, kids back to school, old routines recharged, shorter days and longer nights.

This time of year, we often get caught up in the fog of trying to keep our lives organized and getting back on track.

At Sharps, we believe it is important to remember to take a moment and breath and enjoy life. In maintaining this mantra, we have created a fun and delicious Fall Happy Hour Menu to help you remember that, “it is not about the goal, it is about the journey.”

Stop in after work one day this fall and enjoy one of our Blood Orange Bourbon Punches that has flavors or toasted almond, all spice, blood orange and 100 proof bourbon of course!

If you are feeling a little hungry we tempt you to try our new Walla Walla Sweet Onion Hamburger or our classic Applewood Smoked Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese. We hope our menu will remind you of why we all love the crisp, beautiful fall days in Seattle.

Bodhizafa, Georgetown Brewing Company

Sharps has always been a fan of the Georgetown Brewing Company. Their beers are consistently top-notch, earning both their Manny’s Pale Ale and Lucille IPA a permanent spot among our 25 taps. This last week, our bar manager had the privilege of visiting their headquarters downtown and trying Georgetown Brewing’s Bodhizafa for the first time.

The full-bodied beer oozed hops and didn’t disappoint. Each barrel has been brewed with five pounds of hops making this beer a deliciously hoppy IPA, with a strong citrus background. Its silky pallet kicks in after the first mouthful due to the introduction of oats during the brewing process, creating a complex combination of flavors any IPA connoisseur will appreciate. We were overjoyed finding this gem and am excited to share it with all of our guests over the next few weeks!

Champagne Mango Margarita: Summer Refreshment at It's Finest

Alchemy is the soul of our bar. The alchemist is our dedicated bar scientist whose calling is to create and refine our house crafted small batch bespoke liquors. We’re always innovating our menu and are excited about our new Champagne Mango Margarita!

Executive Bar Manager, Cameron Washington,  got the idea from a classic punch cocktail. With Summer rolling in, he knew that this was going to be a fan favorite.

“The margarita has been our number one selling drink since the menu launch. People seem to really like it and the chili mango is delicious especially at the end of the drink, after its soaked for a bit,” he said. “Mango is in season and adds a twist to the classic margarita. With the paprika salt rim and the chili mango garnish there is a really nice savory sweet combination going on, top that with some bubbles and it really sets it off.”

He feels that the time spent on this new drink is what makes it so special.

“Unlike a lot of places out there we hand squeeze our juices fresh daily and you can really taste the difference. A lot of hard work, time, and love goes into our cocktail program,” he explained.
